In 1998, Christopher Barber founded the International Space School Educational Trust (ISSET), a UK registered charity. Through ISSET, Chris set about his mission to use space exploration and the people behind it to motivate students from all backgrounds to realise their potential, grow their confidence and help them achieve their dreams in whichever field they choose.
For over 20 years, in partnership with some of the world’s leading organisations, Christopher and the people behind ISSET have led the way in space and STEM education for all. ISSET run sponsored programmes for students who may not otherwise be afforded these opportunities. We work closely with education ministries and local governments to ensure we accommodate students who are best in need of these experiences.
The International Space School Educational Trust founded the Mission Discovery event series, Launch Prize virtual competitions & the Space to Learn classroom experiences. Mission Discovery PTE Ltd & Launch Prize Ltd, both trading as ISSET, are the commercial arms of the Trust that manage the different programmes and handle direct-to-consumer sales internationally.
