Over five exciting days, your child will experience action-packed, hands-on activities that blend learning and fun, making it the perfect adventure for your future astronaut!
The best part? Real astronauts Steve Swanson and Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger will be beaming in LIVE to share their adventures throughout the week, and your child will have the chance to ask them questions directly over video calls.

Location: New Hunt's house, King's College London, Guy's Campus (near London Bridge & the Shard)

Drop off: 8:30 - 09:00 | Camp Begins: 09:00 | Camp Ends: 15:30
*Participants will be grouped in small teams by same/similar age. All staff are DBS checked.

Give your child an unforgettable half-term with hands-on space experiments, rocket building and live video calls with real astronauts Steve Swanson and Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger. Packed with fun and STEM learning, it’s a week designed to spark curiosity and inspire future explorers. *You can choose any of the days to attend after booking.

DAY 1: Mon 27th - Welcome to Astro Space Camp & Exploring Our Solar System
- Kick off the week with fun ice breakers and get to know your fellow space explorers.
- Design your own mission patch inspired by real NASA examples.
- Explore the planets with games, puzzles, and a scale model of the Solar System.
- Learn about the Sun and how it powers our solar system.
- Take part in an interactive mnemonic challenge to memorise the order of the planets.
- Build a working solar oven and bake marshmallow treats!
DAY 2: Tue 28th - Rocket Science & Mars Lander Challenge
- Explore the history of rockets through interactive presentations and model building.
- Build and launch gliders, straw rockets, and world-record paper planes.
- Take on the Mars Lander Challenge and protect your egg-stronaut during re-entry.
- Work in teams to design, build, and test a landing capsule for Mars.
- Get ready for your astronaut Q&A by preparing questions for Dottie.
DAY 3: Weds 29th – SpaceMail Challenge & Live Q&A with Astronaut Dottie
- Watch a NASA launch and become a space journalist with your own headline story.
- Learn about stars and constellations, then build your own star map.
- Take part in the SpaceMail Challenge and design a postcard to be flown into space.
- Meet and talk to NASA astronaut Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger in a live Q&A session.
- Reflect with your group on the most inspiring moments from Dottie’s story.
DAY 4: Thurs 30th - The Moon, Mars & Exploration & Skittles Experiment
- Uncover why we always see the same side of the Moon.
- Discover just how big a billion is and how far the stars really are.
- Investigate real Mars mission mishaps.
- Get hands-on with a fun science experiment using Skittles!
- Build pop film canister rockets that blast off with just water and vitamin tablets!
- Nappy absorption experiments highlight the technology astronauts use.
- Prepare to meet Astronaut Steve Swanson in tomorrow’s Q&A.
DAY 5: Fri 31st - Rocket Launching, Live Q&A with NASA Astronaut Steve Swanson, Certificate Ceremony
- Design a straw kite and learn about gravity with hands-on experiments.
- Build and fire compressed air rockets into the sky!
- Investigate gravity, surface tension and what makes space so unique.
- Ask astronaut Steve Swanson your burning questions during a live video Q&A.
- Receive a personalised certificate during our award ceremony and reflect on the week’s highlights.
